Gardner, the west plot

Picture
This sad heap is all that remains of several Gardner stones.  The only legible writing is on the stone on the lower right.

JOSEPH GARD
BORN **
Rottenburg, **
DIED Feb. 6, 1876
Aged 72 Yrs. 1 Mos.
& 20 D's
***

(This seems to be the stone of Lydia Gardner, not Joseph as I had previously thought.  The death date matches Lydia and though "Joseph" is written on the stone the missing part probably says "wife of")

Gardner, the east plot

Picture
The toppled stones of the family of Ferdinand Gardner, set in concrete in the 1960's (I believe).

Death has been here and borne away
A brother from our side
Just in the morning of his day
In youth and love he died.

May she rest in peace

A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled,
The boon his love had given,
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in heaven.
